Travis Charles, DO

Travis Charles, DO obtained a Bachelor of Science in business management from Brigham Young University in Provo and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He remained in Kansas City to complete his family medicine residency at Research Hospital. Dr. Charles is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and practices full-scope family medicine. He speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Dr. Charles chose a career in medicine after witnessing illness and suffering while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While in Argentina, he wanted to give patients the chance to return to optimum health and create lives full of peace and meaning. Dr. Charles enjoys the specialty of family medicine because of its variety and the chance to interact with many people of different ages and circumstances. Family medicine has given him the opportunity to meet wonderful people and build lasting relationships with his patients. He cherishes those relationships and considers them to be some of the greatest gifts he has received in his career. Dr. Charles is a kind and compassionate doctor who has a calming influence on his patients. He strives to listen intently and thoroughly address the needs of all of his patients.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Charles enjoys playing the guitar and the piano, learning other instruments, and spending time outside with his family.
