Richard Sharp, MD

Richard Sharp, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in zoology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to his education, Dr. Sharp served in the National Guard and completed a family medicine internship and residency at the Malcolm Grow Medicine Center in Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. Dr. Sharp has been in practice for more than 30 years, 10 of which have been with Revere Health. He has dedicated his life to the overall health of his patients and is a well sought-after family medicine provider. He is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and specializes in family medicine.

Dr. Sharp chose to pursue a career in medicine while learning about first aid as an eight-year-old cub scout. He enjoys working in family medicine because he gets to do a little of every medical specialty. He initially fell in love with family medicine while delivering and taking care of babies. While working with his patients, Dr. Sharp likes to focus on their long-term health and is interested in the wellbeing of each patient. He has chosen to extend the length of appointments with his patients so he has time to listen carefully to their concerns.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Sharp enjoys traveling, taking long walks, and gardening.
