Adam Ireland, AuD, CCC-A, F-AA

Adam Ireland was born in Xenia, Ohio. He grew up in the shadows of Disneyland in Garden Grove (Orange County), California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) in 1997. During this time he became interested in Otoacoustic Emissions and hearing aids. He received his Master of Arts degree with honors in Audiology from California State University, Long Beach in 1999. He also received the Outstanding Student Research Award for his Master’s thesis entitled “Effects of Sample Size (Frame) on the Noise Floor and Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions in Normal-Hearing Women”. This thesis was later published in Scandinavian Audiology, Volume 29, Number 2, 2000. Adam received his Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.) With honors in 2014 from the Arizona School of Health Sciences and A. T. Still University. His Clinical Fellowship was completed at HEARx, a nationally recognized provider of hearing aids and hearing services, in Riverside, California, where he began his career in 1999. He was awarded by manufacturers and civic groups on several occasions for delivering outstanding service to individuals and to the community.

Adam chose audiology as a specialty because he enjoys improving his patient’s quality of life through increased communication. He specializes in identifying and helping hard-of-hearing patients by fitting them with hearing aids, FM systems and aural rehabilitation. He also performs balance testing, Otoacoustic Emission testing, as well as all other testing related to audiology.

In his free time, Adam enjoys beekeeping and other agricultural activities. He and his wife have five children and two grandchildren; they like to visit Huntington Beach (their favorite), which is close to Adam’s hometown.
